Certificate in Leadership and Management launched

The Centre for Strategy and Communication and Royal Holloway College, University of London launched their new Certificate in Leadership and Management at the House of Lords on February 26th.

The Certificate, which can be run in-house for organisations or via the Centre's open training programme, includes modules in strategic management, finance, team leadership and influencing skills. It includes a weekend school at the University and participants also undertake a major project looking at some aspect of their own workplace.

The launch was attended by over 100 clients, academics, Centre associates and friends. They heard Baroness Coussins talk of the value of management training for the voluntary and public sectors. David Sweeney, Pro Vice Chancellor of Royal Holloway College called the Certificate a groundbreaking initiative. Jan Burnell, one of the founder directors of the Centre said she was proud to be involved with a programme so clearly underpinned by the values of inclusion and diversity and public service.
