Marje Paling

Marje is a skilled trainer with many years experience of working in the not for profit sector following a shorter career as an English teacher.   She has a proven track record of introducing and managing change, especially with teams who manage at a distance.  Her early work as a Development Officer enabled her to acquire skills in helping staff transfer from team members to managers, and volunteers to paid workers.  It is for this reason that she so enjoyed training the Moving into management course.  Her knowledge of charity and company law has been built up both by the many years she worked directly with trustee boards as a senior manager, and by her time as Chair of a national voluntary organisation.  Her work included providing training in trusteeship and committee work.  Her background in education means she now focuses on delivering writing courses, especially Taking and writing minutes and Writing skills: the basics.
