Sammie is the Centre’s Marketing Executive and works closely with our Head of Operations, Sam Clegg, to help implement the organisation’s marketing plans.
As well as working on general day-to-day marketing and social media activities such as e-broadcasts, copywriting and event organisation, Sammie is responsible for looking after projects and campaigns such as the Charity of the Year award.
Prior to working at the Centre, Sammie worked in the marketing team for three handbag brands, and was responsible for managing social media content, organising press events and coordinating photoshoots. Sammie has also worked as Marketing Executive for a group of bars in the East Midlands and undertook work experience and internships at Vogue, Toast PR and the Nottingham Post.
A passion for writing led Sammie to study BA Print Journalism at Nottingham Trent University where she also gained the NCTJ Diploma in Journalism, completing modules in media law, public affairs and achieved 100wpm in shorthand.
Most of her spare time is spent learning how to sew, seeing live music and visiting her friends and family back in Nottingham. The rest of her spare time is spent trying to find a fish and chip shop in London that serves gravy.
