Sara Jones
Sara Jones is a media and presentation skills trainer with around 20 years' experience. Her clients have included major organisations in the commercial, public and voluntary sectors. Sara has trained Key Opinion Leaders and marketing executives for many pharmaceutical companies, including Roche Pharmaceuticals, Eli Lilly, Pfizer, Astra Zeneca, and Sanofi. Among her clients are senior executives from the French telecommunications group, Alcatel, the Digital Radio Development Bureau, the research company, CACI, and various finance companies such as Aon and Ambrient. She worked in Amsterdam with Philips to help launch a new television and has trained the CEOs from Hyland Software, Glasses Direct, and Promethean, the interactive white-board manufacturers. Directors from Tarmac, Morphy Richards, MacMillan Publishing and Solar Century have all learned their media skills from her. Sara is also one of the trainers used by Channel 4 to help managers and artistes project the channel's image. She trained the Director General and senior managers of the World Trade Organisation.
She is the Department for Work and Pensions media and presentation skills trainer and has worked with all levels of staff, from the Secretary of State to JobCentre managers. She is also one of the accredited trainers for the Home Office and has trained politicians and senior civil servants from the Department for Food and Rural Affairs, and the Department of Health.
She began life as a journalist in local newspapers, moved into local radio and then went to the BBC Radio Newsroom where she worked as a sub and reporter. Sara worked on various Radio 4 programmes such as ‘Today', ‘PM' ‘You and Yours' and ‘Woman's Hour'. She also worked as a researcher and reporter for Thames Television News. As a freelance journalist she contributed to various magazines, as well as presenting corporate videos.
