Charity of the Year

The Centre is proud to announce that our 2012 Charity of the Year is Down’s Syndrome Association.

"The Down's Syndrome Association is elated to have been selected as the Centre's 2012 Charity of the Year partner.  As a result of our partnership, we are confident that our staff will be able to learn and enhance current skills that will enable us to raise awareness about the condition that is Down's syndrome and support our membership.  We are looking forward to working with the Centre throughout 2012!" We had a number of very strong applications from some brilliant charities so it was a tough decision to make! We’re very pleased to be supporting Down's Syndrome Association - the only charity to offer help and advice on ALL aspects of living with Down's syndrome. We feel that our training will really be able to help this charity build on their successes and develop the skills of their staff.

We’re meeting with the charity to get to know them better and once we’ve done this we’ll be able to post some more information about the charity and their work. In the mean time do visit their website at www.downs-syndrome.org.uk.
