Facilitation of awaydays
An awayday can be a precious opportunity, away from the hurly burly of everyday work, to get your team together and explore new ideas, wrestle with old problems and plan for the future. It's also a time to have fun and get to know each other better.
The Centre has a number of experienced facilitators who can help you get the best out of your awayday. They will generate the right environment, tailored to your needs, and help you stay focused.
Before the event, our facilitators can help you
• Clarify your aims
• Talk through team dynamics, and what type of approach will bring out the best in your people
• Develop a programme to enable you to achieve your aims
At the awayday, our facilitator will
• Ensure the day runs smoothly
• Involve everyone in the discussion
• Listen, question, stretch your thinking
• Keep you focused on your aims
After the event, our facilitator can
• Provide you with a report from the day, highlighting key points
Whatever your challenge, we will have a facilitator with just the right skills. You might want a fun finale; you might need some advice on venues; you might have a particularly difficult team dynamic. We can help you find solutions.
Our team includes a number of specialists for those awaydays where you need some input as well as facilitation. For example, some of our communications specialists are currently involved in a big project funded by the Nationwide Foundation which involves awaydays for boards and staff teams. Our management strategy specialists have provided facilitation for strategic planning awaydays in the UK and internationally. We also have a consultant who specialises in supporting teams which are having difficulties with interpersonal relationships.
