Deborah Maguire
History and experience
A Chartered Accountant for over 20 years, Deborah has an in-depth knowledge of accounting and finance. She understands the practical side of business, which brings insight into the learning environment, to give subjects more depth. She has worked with many different companies and Industries throughout her career and can relate to the specific needs and industry challenges of individuals.
Recently, she worked as a business consultant for Oracle, where she was closely involved with multi-million pound investments into their Finance systems and supporting her clients in drawing up compelling business cases.
Deborah changed careers 6 years ago as she has a passion for education and gets great satisfaction from helping develop peoples’ skills. She started her own training company which specialises in training and coaching for finance and business. She combines this with her work as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire and as a trustee and treasurer for a local Preschool. Deborah is an NLP Master Practitioner, so can include softer skills within her programs which can be equally as important as numeric skills in successfully using financial information.

Courses
Deborah teaches a range of Finance and Management courses including, including Finance skills for non financial managers and Budgeting for non financial managers.
Deborah also runs bespoke in-house training and one-to-one coaching sessions.
