Lucy Duggan

History and Experience

Lucy Duggan supports individuals and teams to identify and implement strategies that strengthen them from within in order to succeed in competitive and challenging environments. 

Lucy trains across a diverse range of subjects including communication, leadership and resilience. Having studied the Sociology of Mental Health and Illness as an undergraduate at the University of Bristol, she went on to establish a public health promotion initiative that worked in partnership with voluntary and statutory bodies to provide mental health and resilience training to over 4000 members of the wider community in Bristol. 

Lucy was awarded a Fellowship from the Wellcome Trust for her success in engaging the public with health research findings through this work.

Lucy enjoys continuous professional development and currently studies for a postgraduate diploma in Psychotherapy at Gestalt Centre Wales.

Clients

Lucy has enjoyed working with clients across multiple sectors including retail, engineering, charity, housing, banking and regulatory bodies.

She has delivered training and been a keynote speaker on resilience, her specialist area, in both the UK and abroad.

Lucy work has included one to one coaching, lunch-and-learn series, immersive residentials and online and in-house delivery of leadership development programmes. She takes a collaborative approach to the development of her training to ensure that it answers the exact needs of the client.

Training style

Lucy has an energetic and warm training style. She recognises the vital role of emotional engagement in learning. Her mission is to turn interesting theory and research findings in to truly useful practice by sharing skills and tools, fostering insight and motivating delegates to experiment in real life situations. 

Lucy views improving our collective understanding of how the human mind works as one of the most urgent tasks of the 21st century and enjoys sharing her expertise on this serious subject with a light and humorous touch.
