Sal’s work is driven by a passion for accessible and practical learning for everyone irrespective of background, gender or societal barriers.
This has led Sally to work in a range of contexts from social housing, not-for-profits and charities right through to multinational corporations and retailers. Recently Sally has worked with Cineworld, Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy, The Association of Commonwealth Universities, the British Library, Ascential, Southampton Football Club, FSCS, and The Geological Society.
Sally’s approach is pragmatic and personal and their own values, and interest in diverse and inclusive organisations, shines through in the way they build and deliver projects.
Using a facilitative and collaborative approach Sally likes to make her workshops practical, driven by research and best practice, and tailored to the needs, interests and challenges of each group they work with. Creating unique action plans for each learner is central to Sally’s training style – ensuring that each person gets the attention and support they need to succeed in their role.
Sally primarily develops bespoke development programmes for staff and managers and works closely with organisations to ensure these long term projects exactly meet the needs, plans and challenges of each workplace. Sally facilitates team, department and board awaydays and offers L&D and HRD consultancy which includes coaching, policy writing and focus groups. Sally is also part of our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion team with a special focus on Gender Equality.
Sal has a great understanding of, and empathy for, the challenges and obstacles that those of us in the L&D space encounter on a daily basis. Sally's consultative, pragmatic and warm approach has helped enormously in our evolution from an organisation where people train, to a learning organisation.
