Tillie Harris

History and experience

Tillie is an experienced copywriter and facilitator. She originally trained as a journalist and has written for a wide range organisations, both online and in print. Tillie has worked as a freelance writer for over 15 years and her specialisms include children and families, health and wellbeing and digital culture. Her clients include the British Heart Foundation, the National Trust, Great Ormond Street Hospital, the BBC and the Economic and the Social Science Research Council (ESRC).

Tillie has a degree in social anthropology, a MA in print journalism and an MSc in the psychodynamics of human development and behaviour.

Tillie has developed and delivered a number of the Centre’s writing courses and is happy to work with clients to develop workshops to achieve their strategic needs and support their brand.

Tillie has clients from a broad range of sectors including creative agencies, corporates, charities, housing associations, local authorities, further and higher education institutions and health organisations. Clients include: Amnesty international, Macmillan Cancer, Goldsmiths University and City University.

Tillie is a dynamic trainer with a warm and supportive style. She creates an atmosphere where everyone can work hard and achieve their best. She is committed to giving each person the opportunity to explore their own issues and think strategically about how to get the most out of themselves and their working environment. Participants complete Tillie's courses feeling motivated and well equipped to move forward in their role.


Tillie has written and developed a range of courses in partnership with the Centre, many of which are available on our current events calendar. Courses include: Digital writing; CopywritingReport writing; Print newsletters that will get read; Writing for young people and Email newsletters and ebullitens. These courses can also tailored and delivered at your venue
