Make the most of your training day

You’ve booked onto a course and you’re ready to learn! But how do you make the most of your training day? With over 21 years of experience, we know a thing or two about creating the best day of learning possible. Trust us, we’re experts!

Pick the right course for you

Okay it sounds obvious, but the best training days are ones which teach you what you want (and need) to learn! Research your course before you book, and if you’re unsure if it’s the right choice just give us a call. We can talk you through the day, and even put you in touch with the trainer if you have specific questions about the course content.

Plan your journey and arrive early

We all love a day out of the office, but excitement soon turns to stress when you realise you don’t know where you’re going and how to get there! Plan your journey and give yourself plenty of time. Arriving early not only allows to you start the day with the right mindset but it also gives you more time to enjoy our snacks and drinks!

Get involved

For all our courses we enforce the Chatham House rule, which essentially means that you can speak freely in a confidential environment. We encourage delegates to learn from each other, and our trainers also enjoy answering your questions (even the challenging ones!).

Don’t check your emails!

We all know what it’s like; it’s time for a tea break and you reach for your phone to check your emails. Stop! This day is a chance for you to explore your chosen topic in depth and really focus on developing. By checking your emails you’ll distract your mind and it could even make you stressed and less receptive to learning.

Put what you’ve learnt into practice

The course is over and you’re back in the office. You probably don’t have a pot of sweets next to you, and your workbook is sitting on your desk. Before you know it, paperwork has been piled on top and you’re back to square one! When you get back to work give yourself time to recap what you learnt and start to put things into action straight away.

Make the most of our call back service

Did you know that all delegates have access to a free call back service for up to a year after their course? This means that if you’re after some advice or have any questions, we can arrange for your trainer to call you back, free of charge, and help you work through the problem.
